Bought for my 5 (at the time) year old son last winter. They were perfect for allowing him to join me on the trails in the winter. He loved the design as well. I found he didn't get too much build up on the bottom of the spikes, not compared to an old pair I had. After our first snow fall this year he is already asking to go out in them again. Lightweight so he can save his energy for longer treks.
